BIGFOOT 50x50 Day 1, 2024: “Glowing Like Fire”
The Schnells began 2024 with another excursion to the other side of the planet for the Hot Wheels tour, dubbed Glow-N-Fire. This year would see Rebecca driving Midwest Madness 19 and Darron driving Gunkster 23 and filling their passports with stamps from Spain, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Portugal, Hungary, Netherlands, and Poland. In July, they would make their way down to Australia, and in October a set of shows in The Middle East would see them in Kuwait and Abu Dhabi.
2024 marked another milestone in the BIGFOOT camp. Dan Runte would be celebrating his 35th Anniversary with BIGFOOT, and celebrating in style. For the 2024 Open house, a truck would be painted in his honor, the passenger side with the Power Wheels paint scheme that Dan made famous in 1994, and the driver's side painted to look like the Chromalusion scheme he drove at the beginning of the millennium.
The open house would see more surprises. BIGFOOT 4 would shed its blue racer stripe body for a fresh, original style Snake Bite body. Chris Gibson, the BIGFOOT Ranger's owner, would bring the truck to the event fully restored after three years of work done by Heath Padgett of BFT Motorsports and others. The Dan Runte Tribute body would be run on BIGFOOT 15 during an exhibition by Darron Schnell.
November would see a new paint scheme on a familiar body just in time for the holidays. In Little Rock, Arkansas, customers at a local Walmart could see the real life version of the new BIGFOOT licensed mini-RC toy from New Bright. A blue, raptor style body with black flames with sponsor and Walmart logos would make up New Bright 8.
