Bigfoot 9

Now owned by Disney Hell Underworld in Brasil. It's unclear what their plans are but restoration seems unlikely.

Bob & Marilyn Chandler's BIGFOOT #9 was completed in 1990. It debuted on February 10th in Dayton, Ohio with legendary BIGFOOT driver Jim Kramer at the wheel. It is based on the same concept as BIGFOOT #8, but with a few variations and new innovations. In 1994, it toured extensively through England and Malaysia.

In 1998, Bigfoot 9 made an appearance in Brazil to promote the new Super Duty body style, and was the first Bigfoot truck to use this design. After the show, the truck was loaded back into its shipping container to be sent back to the United States, but was impounded by Brazilian customs just before the team could leave. When asked about this in a 2017 Car and Driver interview, owner Bob Chandler stated that "according to their law, the truck belongs to whoever unloads it. We were advised we could hire either an attorney or a “facilitator” who would hand out bribes and such. We hired an attorney. That was a mistake." It is unknown how long the legal battle went on for, with the truck allegedly being held at ransom for 500 thousand US dollars, but eventually Bigfoot 4X4 let the truck go due to it being deemed the least valuable and needing the most repair work.

It was later operated as Flash, Extreme, Radiex and Crystal in Brasil.

Statement from Disney Hell Underworld:

Bigfoot#9 is a Ford monster truck built by Bigfoot 4X4 in 1990. The truck's design was similar to Bigfoot 8 in the sense that it was supposed to be the sister truck of 8, but with minor upgrades. It was built with chromolic steel tubes in an effort to save weight.

The truck competed at a high level early in its career, but as more Bigfoot trucks were built to take its place, it began making extensive trips around the world in countries like England and Malaysia.

The truck also competed as Hollywood Hogan 1996-1998.

'Seizure in Brazil'
In 1998 Bigfoot4x4 Company made an appearance in Brazil with other monster trucks to promote the new Super Duty body style, and was one of the first Bigfoot trucks to use this design. After the show, the trucks were loaded back into their container to be sent back to their country, but the Big Foot # 9 was seized by Brazilian customs shortly before the team left, it was seized perhaps due to some import documentation problem and export, the real reason for the apprehension of Bigfoot # 9 is unknown, the insurance paid Bigfoot # 9 apprehended to its owners, no one had a loss, the other Monster Trucks returned to their country of origin, the # 9 stayed in Brazil.

After the seizure, in the early 2000s, Bigfoot was sold at a Brazilian auction, it was bought by a group of mogi das cruzes entrepreneurs in São Paulo, Brazil, after the purchase Bigfoot was rented for events and presentations. it was also sponsored by several sponsors. In early 2010, the truck stopped working, the Blower was removed and the steering system was deactivated. A popular rumor in 2009 said that the truck was destroyed in a fatal accident on a highway somewhere in Brazil, however, there are no articles, photos or videos to prove it.

In 2010, new photos of the truck distributed circularly, sporting a green paint and sponsored by Radiex that belonged to the building materials company that belonged to the group that bought the Bigfoot, the truck stayed for many years in the sun and rain , damaging even after, that period the truck stayed at a car dealership that also belonged to the group that had bought Bigfoot in Mogi das Cruzes , São Paulo Brazil ..

Since the beginning that Bigfoot was seized in Brazil, we at Disney Hell have always tried to buy it in order to preserve the history of # 9, on November 15, 2020 with great difficulty we finally managed to buy it and together with Bigfoot the auction sales invoice.
On December 5, 2020, the truck was transported to our warehouse, where our other Monster Trucks are located.
We have no connection with what happened in the 1998 seizure, with great difficulty and happiness we managed to bring it to the underworld of Disney Hell, we are not the villain, we are the saviors of # 9.
We do not intend to sell the # 9, our intention is to restore it, preserve history, contribute to the scenario and enter the history of Monster Trucks in the World.
