Dan Patrick did not actually drive Bigfoot in competition. Instead, from 1989 to 1992, he worked for Team Bigfoot as a head fabricator, mechanic, and chassis designer/builder (creating or helping build Bigfoot #8 through #15), while simultaneously competing and driving his own Samson monster truck.

• Chassis Design & Fabrication (1989–1992): Designed lightweight, durable racing chassis used for Bigfoot trucks #8 through #12.

• Independent Racing: While contracted with Team Bigfoot, he continued to tour, build, and drive his own sponsored monster truck, Samson.

• Patrick Enterprises (PEI): He left Bigfoot 4x4 in 1992 to launch his own chassis-building and racing company, supplying frames across the monster truck industry.
