BIGFOOT 50x50 Day 21, 2004: “Bob and Weave”

Team BIGFOOT had a very televised 2004. Commercials were filmed for AT&T, Cheerios, and Firestone, and television that was filmed in late ‘03 was airing in ‘04, like History Channel’s “Tactical to Practical” where host and former Navy fighter pilot Hunter Ellis took flight in Destination 15. In July, Destination 14 and MAC Tools 15 made an appearance on the premiere episode of TLC’s “Help Wanted.” A reality show where contestants (applicants) had to make it through rounds of monster truck-centric challenges to win the prize of driving a BIGFOOT truck at an event.

On the racing side of things, 2004 was a bit of a down year in terms of championships won. Try as they might for Checkered Flag, Special Events, Monster Nationals, ProMT, and others, the competition was incredibly stiff. The likes of Raminator, Virginia Giant and Carolina Crusher all had something to say that year. That’s not to say BIGFOOT didn’t win races, they definitely put up their usual, valiant effort. Like all teams you love, never count BIGFOOT out.

2004 would also be the beginning of Summit Racing Equipment’s involvement with Team BIGFOOT. A fruitful partnership that continues to this day.
