Dave Harkey was a driver out of St. Louis, MO, best known as a pilot of Bigfoot, including the T-Wrecks version. He also had a tenure under Paul Shafer, piloting the rear-engine Monster Patrol in 2000, as well as Shafer's Tonka truck. He drove Monster Patrol during the Monster Trux 2000 event and was even featured on the U.S. version of Scrapyard Wars alongside drivers like John Seasock. By the Summer of 2000, Harkey would then move on to Team Bigfoot, piloting the truck until 2007.

After having left Bigfoot, he was involved in an attempted robbery at a local store, in which he would be arrested for. While incarcerated, he made a suicide attempted and was moved to a nearby hospital where he died on April 19th, 2008. It was strongly believed he was under some form of substance abuse at the time.

Bigfoot subsequently held a memorial event for Dave.
